US offered to suspend oil sanctions during negotiations

The United States has agreed in a new proposal to waive sanctions on Iran’s oil sector during the negotiation period.

Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim, that this was stated by a source close to Iran’s negotiating team.

The source explained that a waiver means the temporary suspension of sanctions.

It is noted that Iran insists that the full removal of all sanctions must be part of the United States’ commitments.

However, the US has proposed waiving OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions until a final agreement is reached.
