Russia to restrict flower imports from Armenia

Russia will impose temporary restrictions on the import of flowers from Armenia starting May 22, 2026.

Axar.az reports that the decision was announced by Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (“Rosselkhoznadzor”).

According to the agency, the restrictions will remain in place until the completion of greenhouse inspections and the analysis of their results.

The regulator said the measure is intended to protect Russia’s phytosanitary safety and export potential. It also noted continued detection of quarantine-related violations in flower shipments from Armenia despite guarantees from Armenia’s Food Safety Inspectorate.
