Germany provides Ukraine with IRIS-T air defense system

Ukraine has received another IRIS-T air defense system.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made the announcement on his official X account.

“Yesterday, we received a new IRIS-T launcher. We thank Germany for its constant contribution to protecting people; thousands upon thousands of lives have been saved thanks to such strong support,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky also noted that strong air defense is essential to better protect civilians.

"Strong air defense can provide greater protection for our people and deprive Russia of its last remaining advantage," he wrote.
