Belarus rejects claims of military presence in Ukraine

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that Belarusian soldiers have never been deployed in Ukraine and will not be deployed there in the future.

Axar.az reports, citing BeLTA, that according to Lukashenko, statements from Kyiv regarding alleged Belarusian threats are exaggerated and influenced by external actors.

“This will never happen. Never! Our soldiers were not there and will not be there. He knows this, and the military knows it too,” Lukashenko said.

He also dismissed recent claims and warnings coming from Ukraine, describing them as unfounded rhetoric.

In comments to journalists, Lukashenko suggested that some of Ukraine’s statements are shaped by external pressure and criticized reports of alleged threats or sabotage scenarios linked to Belarusian territory.

“Let President Volodymyr Zelensky forgive me for this, but this is just nonsense. It is good that the Russian media noticed it. It is also good that they looked at our so-called opposition. This is not opposition — these are criminals. And they are counting on preparing militants there to seize some district center on Belarusian territory. God forbid any military attack is launched from any territory against Belarus — the war will take on a completely different character in Ukraine. I will not go into details, you understand what I mean,” he said.
