Zelensky says Ukraine strikes Moscow oil refinery again

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukrainian long-range strikes have once again reached the Moscow region, with the Moscow oil refinery hit for the second time in a week.

Axar.az reports, citing Zelensky’s Telegram channel, that additional targets were also struck in Russia’s Rostov region as well as in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Zelensky described the strikes as a “just response” to Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, adding that they target facilities supporting Russia’s war effort.

He thanked Ukraine’s defence and security forces, including the SBU, SBS, SSO, HUR, and a missile brigade, for their coordination and accuracy.

The Ukrainian president also said recent operations demonstrate the effectiveness of long-range strikes, stressing that “it is time to end this war” and calling on Russia to take steps toward diplomacy.

It should be noted that Ukrainian forces carried out a drone strike on Moscow on the same day, resulting in fires at an oil refinery in the capital.
