ISIS suspect killed in Ankara

An ISIS suspect was killed and his wife was wounded following a clash with Special Operations police in Ankara.

Axar.az reports, citing DHA, that the incident occurred on Tuesday morning in the Sazagasi neighborhood of Haymana district.

Special Operations police conducted a raid on a residence where the suspected ISIS member and his wife were staying. A firefight erupted after the occupants opened fire on security forces.

Authorities said the suspect was killed during the operation, while his wife was wounded and taken into custody.

Investigators found that Muhammed Kavi, 25, who was killed during the operation in Ankara, had communicated with ISIS leaders online and had been active in the group's virtual chat forums.
