Tusk says Orban changed radically over the years

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has changed fundamentally over the past three decades, making cooperation between them impossible.

Axar.az reports that Tusk made the remarks while reflecting on his long relationship with the Hungarian leader.

“I met Viktor Orban more than 30 years ago. For many years we were an extraordinarily loyal duo. We had very similar views on Europe, the world, freedom, and the rule of law. It may sound a little immodest, but I have not changed on these issues since then.

Viktor Orban has changed radically. I could not cooperate with Viktor Orban for the same reasons that many Hungarians could no longer tolerate his rule. There must be a serious reason why Hungarians expressed their opinion so overwhelmingly,” Tusk said.
