Ghalibaf: Islamabad memorandum signals US defeat

We consider the Islamabad memorandum a declaration of the United States’ defeat.

Axar.az informs, citing APА, speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf made the remarks during the opening of the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) member states in Baku.

“This war was not merely a military confrontation. It was an attempt organized to alter the strategic balance of the region and impose its will on a free nation. Those who planned the aggression believed that through military pressure, blockade, psychological operations and acts of terror, they could force the Iranian people to retreat and rewrite the region’s equations according to their wishes.

However, what happened was completely contrary to their calculations. The Iranian people demonstrated that the era of forcibly imposing one’s will on independent nations has come to an end. The world saw how Iran resisted and how it achieved victory,” Ghalibaf stressed.
