Iran, UAE to resume commercial flights this week

Commercial flights between Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are set to resume this week.

Axar.az reports that the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization's spokesperson, Majid Akhavan, said the decision followed negotiations between the civil aviation authorities of the two countries and diplomatic efforts through official channels.

According to Akhavan, Iranian airlines will be the first to resume flights to the UAE after receiving the necessary approvals from the Emirati authorities.

In the second phase, UAE airlines will restart flights to Iran after all regulatory procedures have been completed, restoring regular air links between the two countries, he added.
