As reported earlier, UFC Fight Night Baku has officially got underway in the Azerbaijani capital.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijani fighter Tahir Abdullayev stepped into the Octagon for the opening bout of the event.

He defeated Brazil's Jefferson Nascimento in the third round.

It should be noted that in the main event of UFC Fight Night Baku, taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena, Azerbaijan's Rafael Fiziev will face Mexico's Manuel Torres in a lightweight bout.

Also on the card, Azerbaijan's Nazim Sadykhov will face Brazil's Mateus Camilo, while Farman Hasanov will take on American fighter Eric Nolan.
