Moldova's Foreign Ministry has summoned Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov.

Axar.az reports, citing foreign media, that the ambassador was handed a protest note over what Moldova described as a serious violation of its national sovereignty and risks posed to the safety of its citizens.

"The ambassador was presented with a protest note concerning the serious violation of Moldova's national sovereignty and the risks created for the safety of its citizens," the report said.

Earlier, a drone crashed in Moldova's Causeni district. Chisinau said the drone belonged to Russia.
