The U.S. military has struck the 388th Brigade barracks of the 88th Armored Division in Bampur, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that two soldiers were killed and 50 others were injured in the attack. The wounded were taken to Khatam al-Anbiya Hospital in Iranshahr, with seven reported to be in critical condition.

According to Iranian officials, the strike targeted an army barracks.

Local sources, however, said the death toll and number of injuries are likely higher than the official figures, adding that search and rescue operations are still underway.
