Kremlin condemns Latvia's Russian language ban

The Kremlin has condemned Latvia's plans to ban the use of the Russian language in the media.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made the remarks during a press briefing.

"The only possible reaction is condemnation," Peskov said. "It is impossible not to condemn this because the rights of a large number of the country's residents are being infringed."

It should be noted that Latvia is considering a proposal to ban the use of Russian in state media.
