Cyprus aims to join NATO

Cyprus is seeking to join NATO.

Axar.az informs, citing foreign media, that President Nikos Christodoulides described NATO membership as a key objective for the country.

"Joining NATO is a goal. It is our aspiration. We simply want the outcome to be positive when we officially express our interest. The political conditions are not yet in place, so we are continuing preparations in other areas. After all, it is not just about applying for NATO membership. We need to be prepared administratively, operationally, and in many other respects. We have already begun these preparations," he said.
