Tanker hit by unknown projectile off Oman

A tanker was struck by an unidentified projectile 19 nautical miles east of Khasab, Oman, causing minor structural damage, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said.

Axar.az reports according to the advisory, all crew members are safe and accounted for, and no environmental damage has been reported. The tanker is continuing its voyage to its next port of call.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

UKMTO has advised vessels transiting the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
