Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Andrii Sybiha as acting foreign minister and Yevhen Khmara as acting defense minister.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said the appointments were made in coordination with the president.

“In coordination with the president, the government has appointed Yevhen Khmara as acting minister of defense and Andrii Sybiha as acting minister of foreign affairs. It is important to ensure continuity in the defense and foreign policy sectors,” Koretskyi said on social media.

According to the report, on July 16 the Verkhovna Rada approved the new composition of the government, but the posts of defense and foreign minister remained vacant as the president had not yet submitted nominees.
