Guests fall ill after French Embassy reception in Armenia

A reception hosted by the French Embassy in Armenia in Yerevan on July 14 to mark France's National Day ended with dozens of guests falling ill.

Axar.az reports, citing Armenian media, that the event was attended by numerous guests, including politicians, public figures, ambassadors and other officials.

The report said that several hours after the reception, many guests sought medical treatment with symptoms of an intestinal infection.

According to the report, the food served at the reception was provided by the Marriott Hotel.
