US conducts new strikes on Iranian military sites

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has carried out another round of strikes against targets in Iran, saying the operation was conducted on the orders of the U.S. president.

Axar.az reports that CENTCOM announced on X that the strikes were conducted on July 18 at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

According to the statement, during the eighth consecutive night of U.S. strikes, American forces targeted Iranian military facilities, including coastal surveillance and air defense sites, maritime capabilities, and locations used to store missiles and drones.

CENTCOM noted that the strikes were aimed at further reducing Iran’s military capabilities.

"American military assets also targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces that launched attacks against U.S. service members in Jordan on July 17," the statement added.

It should be recalled that the United States resumed strikes on Iran on July 8.

"More than 50,000 U.S. men and women in uniform are operating across the Middle East. They remain highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready," the command noted.
