Vucic: Serbia to hold snap elections this autumn

Serbia will hold snap parliamentary elections this autumn, in October or November, while the presidential election will take place at a later date.

Axar.az reports, citing Serbian media, that President Aleksandar Vucic made the remarks after meeting Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis in Belgrade.

"I expect the elections to be held in October or November, which means they will be called in September or early October. I have already said that the elections will take place before the end of 2026, and I will keep my word. Now it is up to the people to express their will. The parliamentary elections will definitely be held before the end of the year, while the presidential election will follow a little later," Vucic said.

It should be noted that Vucic had previously announced that he intended to resign.
