Iran says U.S. talks won't change its position

Regardless of the outcome of the negotiations, the Islamic Republic of Iran's principled policy has been clear since the beginning of the war, and such proposals will not be accepted.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi made the remarks.

"Following that, the policy of maintaining the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and enforcing a strict maritime blockade continued, which is also a manifestation of the Islamic Republic of Iran's diplomacy," he added.

His comments came after U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington was engaged in serious talks with Iran and warned that if the negotiations failed, the United States would launch major military operations.
