Two quakes jolt China's Qinghai

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Xinghai County of northwest China's Qinghai Province at 11:34 a.m. on Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

Axar.az reports, citing Xinhua, the epicenter was monitored at 35.35 degrees north latitude and 99.58 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said.

The 5.8-magnitude earthquake occurred following an earlier 5.7-magnitude quake which hit the same site about 18 minutes ago, according to the CENC.
