Pakistan floods and storms kill at least 109

At least 109 people have been killed and 362 others injured as a result of heavy rains and related incidents in Pakistan since June 26.

Axar.az reports that according to Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority, the highest death toll was recorded in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where 55 people were killed due to monsoon rains.

Storms in the eastern Punjab province claimed the lives of 36 people.

Floodwaters have damaged nearly 800 buildings, more than 200 of which were completely destroyed. Since late June, rescue teams have carried out 148 operations, saving close to 4,000 people.
