Armenia risks losing more than 80% of its revenue from apricot exports without the Russian market.

Axar.az informs, citing Russian media, that according to the national statistical services, Armenia's apricot export season traditionally runs from May through September or October.

According to the report, Armenia earned $12.2 million from apricot exports during the 2025 season. Of that amount, $10.3 million came from exports to Russia, accounting for 83.9% of the country's total apricot export revenue. Other major importers of Armenian apricots include Georgia, Belarus and the United Arab Emirates.

The Russian market is also critically important for Armenia's cheese producers. Armenia could lose more than 80% of its cheese export revenue without the Russian market.

Last year, Armenia earned $16.4 million from cheese exports worldwide, of which $13.5 million came from exports to Russia.
