Belarus to close embassy in Finland

The Belarusian government has decided to close its embassy in Finland effective September 1.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin signed a resolution on closing the diplomatic mission in Helsinki.

“Close the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Finland as of September 1, 2026,” the document says.

The 2011 resolution on opening the embassy is being declared null and void.
