Helicopter crashes in lake in Tehran

Head of Tehran Disaster Mitigation and Management Organization said that a helicopter crashed on Tuesday in Chitgar Lake in Tehran due to unknown reasons.

Ahmad Sadeghi told IRNA that some 9 passengers on board were rescued.

Tehran Emergency Center spokesman Hassan Abbasi said that 6 injured passengers were sent to the hospital.

He added that the search operation continues to recover the debris of the helicopter.

Iranian Helicopter Support and Renewal Company (IHSRC) is an Iranian helicopter manufacturing company.
