Putin awarded Adalat Hajiyev

Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded two Azerbaijani cultural figures.

Axar.az reports that by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Adalat Hajiyev, director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Samad Vurgun, was awarded the Pushkin Medal, and Alexander Sharovsky, director-general of the theatre, was awarded the Friendship Order.

According to the document, Azerbaijani cultural figures were awarded for their great contribution to the strengthening of Russian-Azerbaijani cultural ties and the preservation of Russian theatrical traditions in Azerbaijan.
