"From May 13 to June 2, 2022, a laboratory-confirmed case of 780 ape flowers was registered. This information came from 27 countries that are not endemic for the smallpox virus, ”the statement said.

In April and May, the smallpox virus, which spread to a number of Western European countries, was detected on other continents. In addition to the United Kingdom, recent cases have been reported in Australia, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Canada, Portugal, the United States, France, Switzerland and Sweden.
