The initial phase of Ukraine's counteroffensive has been going on for some time now.
Axar.az reports that Grigory Tamar, the retired captain of the Israeli army, said this.
He said that diversionary activities and the operation of drones at different points of the front are indicators of a counter-attack.
According to him, one of the main conditions for a successful counterattack is the presence of modern air defence systems capable of neutralizing the enemy's air superiority:
"In order to defeat the enemy, long-range systems are important, allowing to take control of the rear of the Russians at a distance of 300-500 kilometres."
G. Tamar also noted that the Ukrainian army will not get F-16 fighter jets soon due to technical reasons, and this will not prevent a counter-attack.
