The first president of Yakutia died

Mikhail Nikolaev, the first president of the Russian Republic of Yakutia, died at the age of 87.

Axar.az reports that information about this was published on the website of the government of Yakutia.

Mourning has been declared in Yakutia due to the death of Mikhail Nikolaev.

By the decision of the head of Yakutia, Aysen Nikolayev, the farewell ceremony for Mikhail Nikolayev will be held on August 6 in Moscow, at the permanent representation of the republic under the President of the Russian Federation.

On August 7, a farewell ceremony will be held at the Opera and Ballet Theater in Yakutsk.

Nikolayev will be buried in Yakutsk on August 8.
