The development of Armenia's defence capabilities should not worry anyone.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said these words at a joint briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

He assured that Armenia must create balance in the region.

"Thank you for your support to Armenia's defence capability. Our relations in the field of defence, which are essentially new, are important for ensuring security and stability in the region," Pashinyan told Macron.

He noted that there are criticisms in this context, but Armenia recognizes the territorial integrity of all its neighbours.

Emmanuel Macron, in turn, noted that France will continue cooperation with Armenia in the defence sector:

"France has agreed to the delivery of military defence equipment and France will continue in this area, not wanting any escalation."
