Moscow does not take Taiwan's calls to "reclaim the Russian Far East" seriously.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.

"We have not seen such statements. Even if they exist, they are unlikely to be taken seriously," the Kremlin spokesperson said.

It should be noted that Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te has stated that China considers Taiwan a part of its territory. In that case, Beijing should also reclaim the Far East lost after the "Treaty of Aigun" signed between the Russian Empire and the Qing Empire in 1858 to restore territorial integrity.
