Despite all protests and warnings, France has sent a proposal to the command of the North Atlantic Alliance regarding the deployment of the NATO military contingent in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that "Politico" reported on this concerning Ivo Daalder, the former permanent representative of the United States in NATO.

It was noted that Thierry Burkhard, the Chief of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces, offered his NATO colleagues the deployment of alliance forces on the territory of Ukraine, but received a rejection.

According to I. Daalder, T. Burkhard took the initiative in NATO a few weeks before French President Emmanuel Macron voiced such a stupid idea.
