Italy has closed its consulate in Tehran, the capital of Iran, for an indefinite period.

Axar.az reports that the Italian embassy in Tehran shared information about this on its X account.

"In case of necessary issues, Italian citizens can contact the consulate electronically," the information said.

It was emphasized that the mentioned step was taken in connection with Iran's attacks on Israel.
