European Union defense ministers have started discussing the removal of restrictions on the use of Western weapons for strikes on Russia.

Axar.az reports that Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko has listed some EU countries that agree and disagree with allowing strikes on Russian territory using Western weapons:

In Favor:

- Netherlands: Never rule out the possibility of Ukraine striking Russia.
- Latvia: Sees no reason for Ukraine to refrain from such actions.
- Sweden: Believes Ukraine’s right to self-defense includes the right to strike Russian territory.
- Poland: Not opposed to Ukrainian military forces striking Russian territory.

Against:

- Italy: Believes lifting restrictions on the use of Western weapons for Kyiv is out of the question.
- Germany: Opposes the use of Western weapons for attacks on Russian territory, including artillery and fuel depots.
- Spain: Considers that Kyiv has neither the will nor the intention to use NATO weapons against the Russian Federation.
