The Israeli Defense Forces have returned the bodies of five hostages, including four soldiers who were killed in an attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

It was reported that the bodies were discovered during a joint operation by İsraeli army and Shin Bet in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to Israeli media, 115 Israelis are still being held hostage in the Gaza Strip, more than 40 of whom are believed to be dead. As a result of various operations and humanitarian efforts, 140 hostages, alive and dead, were released from Hamas captivity.
