The supply of Azerbaijani gas to Turkiye will be suspended for a few days in August due to maintenance work on the export gas pipeline.

Axar.az reports that the Turkish state oil and gas company BOTASH released information about this.

In connection with the planned maintenance and repair work on the Shahdeniz gas pipeline, the Turkish national gas distribution network will be connected to the Turkish national gas distribution network from the Turkgozu entry point for five days - from July 31 to August 5, and from the Seyitgazi entry point of the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP). it will not be possible to supply natural gas for four days - on August 5-9," the information said.

At the same time, the company notes that during the planned maintenance and repair works, measures have been taken to ensure the supply and demand balance in the national gas distribution network.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani gas produced within the framework of the 1st and 2nd stages of the development of the "Shahdeniz" field is supplied to Turkiye.

The agreement on the exploration, development and production sharing of the "Shah Deniz" prospective field was signed on June 4, 1996. The Shah Deniz production sharing agreement (PSA) was ratified on October 17, 1996. The deposit located 70 km southeast of Baku was discovered in 1999.
