Erdogan instructed the government representatives to deal with the "Italian strike" action of air traffic controllers.

Axar.az reports that "Türkiye" newspaper published information about this with reference to sources in the government.

It was reported that on July 23, at the meeting of the executive committee of the ruling Justice and Development Party led by Erdogan, Türkiye's tourism minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said that at least 30 foreign flights are delayed during the day as a result of repeated strikes by air traffic controllers. This has a negative impact on industrial tourism and causes financial losses.

It was noted that the problem was mostly registered at Antalya International Airport and Istanbul Sabiha Gokchen Airport.

In response, the Turkish leader ordered to solve the problem immediately and punish the culprits. The head of the Republican Ministry of Transport, Abdulgadir Uraloglu, was entrusted with solving the situation.

It should be noted that in June and July, Turkish air traffic controllers held an Italian strike or a strike called "Uninitiated Work" and demanded an increase in salaries and improvement of working conditions. This caused delays in the reception and departure of flights. Since the authorities did not consider their demands, they decided to announce a new "Italian strike".
