Forest fire in Izmir: aviation was involved

A fire broke out in a forest area located in Izmir province of Turkiye. Aviation and ground equipment were involved to control the fire.

Axar.az reports that the fire that started in the Dikili district of Izmir spread to the area near the residences due to the influence of the wind. As part of security measures, the population was evacuated, traffic was stopped on one of the highways.

10 special planes, 6 helicopters, a large number of equipment and manpower were involved in the region.

In the statement made regarding the incident, it is stated that the danger in residential areas was prevented, three houses were slightly damaged, and measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the fire.
