The Ministry of Defense of Russia confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine breached the border in the Kursk region.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the attack took place in the morning. Armed forces of Ukraine, with the support of 11 tanks and more than 20 armored fighting vehicles, attacked the Russian positions in Nikolayevo-Darya and Oleshnya regions with up to three hundred personnel of the 22nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense noted that the Russian army is repelling attacks and firing at the military units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the state border and the reserve zone in the Sum region.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia claims that the attack planes attacked the territory of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the settlements of Basovka, Juravka, Khoten, Yunakovka, Belovody, Khrapovshina in the Sum region.

"Army aviation is effectively used behind the enemy's armored vehicles," said the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Russians, they destroyed 16 armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including 6 tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, 4 armored personnel carriers and other equipment.
