The situation in the Kursk region continues to deteriorate: in the last hour, there are several confirmed reports of at least partial control of Suja by Ukrainian forces, as well as the advance of an enemy (Ukrainian army - ed.) armored group to the borders of Korenevo.

Axar.az reports that the "Rybar" Telegram channel affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on this.

The channel said with reference to the source that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered the western suburbs of Suja. The center of the settlement located in the lowland is in the "gray zone". Russian troops maintain control over the upper eastern part of the city:

"At the same time, Ukrainian units advanced to the south of Suja: in this area, the occupation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the settlements of Gornal, Guevo and Kurilovka is confirmed. Russian UAV operators conduct reconnaissance of the area and provide target designations for firing on identified enemy positions, while units of ground forces, border guards and Russian guards launch a counterattack.

Ukrainian units have also expanded their control zone in the northwestern part. The village of Leonidovo and Lyubimovka was occupied."

According to the channel, although Russian troops attempted a counterattack in the direction of the nearby village of Zeleni Shlyakh, they failed to liberate the village:

"One of the armored groups of Ukraine, consisting of several vehicles, managed to reach the outskirts of the village of Korenevo, located about 30 km southeast of Rilsk, conducting reconnaissance along the Rilsk-Suga highway.

Currently, Russian troops are striking Ukrainian formations and fighting on the highway, trying to prevent the enemy from occupying the administrative center of the Korenevsky district.

On the second day of Ukraine's attack on the Kursk region, the situation remains difficult: the enemy's long preparation for the strike, unfortunately, paid off. Enemy engineering equipment is sent to the parts of Russian territory occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to equip defense fortifications.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian army attacked Kursk yesterday and captured the villages of Nikolayevo-Daryino, Darino and Sverdlikovo. Ukrainian media reports that the attackers are the Russian Legion of Freedom.
