Iran's President Massoud Pezeshkian asked the country's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to prevent a direct attack on Israel.

Axar.az reports that "Iran International" published information about this.

Pezeshkian noted that Israel's decision to launch a heavy-handed retaliatory attack against Iran's national infrastructure and energy resources could collapse Iran's economy and potentially lead to the country's recession.

Khamenei's response to this request was not reported.
