U.S. seizing Maduro's plane called air piracy by Russia

The U.S. seizure of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro's plane in the Dominican Republic is an act of air piracy.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by the spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.

According to Zakharova, after the U.S. announced the seizure of Maduro's plane, she contacted Venezuelan diplomats:

“They said that this is not the first plane to face such a fate. Previously, cargo planes were seized, but now it is the number one aircraft used by the President of Venezuela.”
