Iran launched a series of ballistic missiles at key Israeli military and security targets in response to the assassinations of high-ranking figures such as Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that Israel would face "crushing" attacks if it retaliated.

Axar.az reports that the Israeli military reported that many of these missiles were intercepted.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed retaliation, emphasizing that Iran had made a "big mistake" and would face consequences. Other Israeli officials, including Foreign Minister Israel Katz, condemned the missile attacks, marking them as a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran.

Various groups and countries reacted to the missile barrage. Hamas praised Iran's actions, while Iraqi Iran-backed groups warned of attacks on U.S. bases if Washington supported Israel. Hezbollah supporters in Lebanon celebrated the attacks, while global leaders like UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for de-escalation and a ceasefire. The U.S. and European leaders, including Jake Sullivan and Charles Michel, condemned the attacks and reaffirmed their support for Israel.

The conflict continues to raise fears of a broader regional war as military strikes and retaliations unfold across the Middle East.
