Italy has imposed the strictest restrictions on arms exports to Israel.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Meloni noted that after Israel launched operations in Gaza, the Italian government immediately suspended the issuance of all new licenses for the export of military materials to the Jewish state:

"Thus, contracts signed after October 7 have not been fulfilled. Export licenses granted before October 7 are being reviewed individually. Italy's position to completely block all new export licenses is stricter and more restrictive than that of the UK, Germany, and France."
