Next Azerbaijan-Iran Commission meeting set for Tehran

The next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran will be held in Tehran in the coming months.

Axar.az reports that this was shared by Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iran, Ali Alizade, on his X account.

The diplomat noted that this decision was made following the visit of Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev to Iran:

"On October 14-15 of this year, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev conducted a business visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was received by the President of Iran, and he had successful and productive meetings with Iran’s ministers of foreign affairs, roads and urban development, energy, oil, economy, and finance."

According to the ambassador, the meetings discussed the current state and development prospects of Azerbaijan-Iran relations, as well as ongoing joint projects and regional and bilateral issues.

"It was emphasized during the receptions and meetings that the strengthening of Azerbaijan-Iran relations and the increase of cooperation were priorities, and it was decided that the next meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission operating between the two countries will be held soon in Tehran," he highlighted.
