The U.S. is investigating the leak of classified intelligence about Israel’s plans for retaliatory measures against Iran.

Axar.az reports this information was shared by CNN, citing an American official.

“The leak is deeply concerning,” the official said.

Repоrtedly, documents dated October 15 and 16 were posted on the "Middle East Spectator" Telegram channel and began spreading on Friday.

The documents are marked "Top Secret" and were intended only for the U.S. and its allies—Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

The documents outline Israel’s preparations for a strike against Iran.

The source added that the investigation is looking into who had access to the alleged Pentagon documents. Any such leak automatically triggers a joint investigation by the FBI, the Pentagon, and U.S. intelligence agencies.

“If it’s true that tactical plans for Israel’s response to Iran’s October 1st attack were leaked, it’s a serious breach,” said Mick Mulroy, former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East and a former CIA officer.
