A phone conversation took place between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Axar.az reports that Vucic shared this information on his Instagram account.

"Dear citizens of Serbia, I have just finished my conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. We hadn’t spoken for nearly 2.5 years, and it was a pleasant, open, long, and meaningful discussion. Of course, we talked about the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade. I thanked President Putin for his congratulations and emphasized the unyielding freedom-loving spirit of the Serbian people. I also expressed Serbia’s gratitude, on behalf of our people, to the Red Army units that participated alongside Serbian forces in the liberation of our capital," Vucic stated.

It is noteworthy that President Vucic had previously mentioned that it had been 2.5 years since he last spoke with Putin.
