World powers convene in Paris on Thursday with the goal of delivering urgent humanitarian aid to Lebanon, supporting its security forces, and advocating for a ceasefire.
Axar.az reports that , citing France 24, France, which has historic ties to Lebanon and a significant diaspora community, is pushing for increased humanitarian assistance.
Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced that approximately 70 countries and 15 international organizations would participate, emphasizing that France "will not let Lebanon down."
However, without the involvement of key players, a political resolution regarding the conflict between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah seems unlikely, as the conflict has so far claimed more than 1,500 lives and displaced 700,000 people.
