Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of private sector and foreign investments in Iran's infrastructure projects.
Axar.az reports that this was reported by the "Mehr" agency.
Pezeshkian made this remark during a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Roads, where the current status of the country's transport infrastructure and regional corridors was reviewed.
During the meeting, Minister of Roads Farzaneh Sadiq referred to ongoing negotiations with Russian parties and provided a report on the latest status of agreements and documents regarding cooperation with Moscow on the implementation of transport infrastructure and regional corridors.
Listening to explanations from the Minister of Roads and other relevant officials regarding the state of the country’s international road and railway corridors, the president highlighted the need to accelerate the implementation of the corridor at the border with Azerbaijan, as well as to complete the international North-South corridor railway line.
"Given the significance of these regional corridors, they must be completed as quickly as possible," Pezeshkian stated.
