Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Turkmenistan has refused to sign a contract with Iran in the natural gas sector

Axar.az reports that he made this announcement during a meeting held in Tehran.

According to the president, he was informed about this by the country's Planning and Budget Organization.

"The Turkmen side claims that the Iranian government is unable to pay the amount stipulated in the contracts. These state representatives need to be told to sign contracts that are in line with the available funds and not to claim they can't fulfill them, or make contracts beyond their capabilities," Pezeshkian criticized the relevant government bodies.
